What to Expect...
Science 10 is a survey course that is a pre-requisite course to Physics 11, Chemistry 11, Biology 11, and Earth Science 11. It is the first science course in which you will receive a provincial exam at the end of the course.
This provincially examinable course mark is entered on your permanent school record. It is suggested that you become aquainted with the idea of exploring your future science adventures as soon as possible. It will help you to succeed in the next two years if you begin early looking at your options for future education. Few know what they want to do with the rest of their lives by grade 10; most that think they know either change their minds, or wish they had left some doors of opportunity open in their early years (about grade 10).
Be sure to see your teacher for assistance as soon as you have a problem. It is important to keep up, rather than catch up. It requires less effort (in the long run), it is more satisfying and is good for building your confidence.
