History

Poppy's first Fizzix club was started in September 1999 and proved itself to be an experience for its members which will be remembered for years. A planning weekend trip to Christina Lake set the tone for the year; sun, stars, boats, and fun took their toll as those who attended planned and discussed goals for the year (the sauna was great). The weekend spawned a keen excitement toward designing and building a solar oven and a large reflector telescope (the star gazing nights were amazing). Between Monday meetings, guest speakers, and overnighters at the school, field trips were organized to Canadian Airlines, Helipro International, and the T.R.I.U.M.F. Research Facility. Who would have thought that Physics could be such a gas?

The solar oven has been seen cooking hotdogs and apples behind the school....Mmmmmmm!

JPL Laboratories is a target field trip for the group.  Organization will be the key as fundraising will be a necessity.

Breakfast after an All-nighter

All students are welcome to join us!  In the event of limited availability of space on field trips etc., preference will be given to age and dedication.
